Scary Terry is a recurring character in the animated television series Rick and Morty, co-created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. He is a parody of Freddy Krueger, the iconic slasher villain from the Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise.
Unlike the relentlessly malevolent Krueger, Scary Terry possesses a far more timid and insecure personality. He is portrayed as a well-meaning but often clumsy and self-conscious figure within the dream realm. He uses phrases such as "Aww, bitch!" and "You can run, but you can't hide, bitch!"
Scary Terry's appearances often involve him attempting to be frightening and fulfilling his role as a nightmare monster, but his anxieties and general awkwardness frequently undermine his efforts.
